Role Description

As our Radiology Scheduler, you will play a huge role in the patient experience, as you will be the first point of contact for scheduling critical imaging appointments. Every day you will:

• Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, and helpful phone-related assistance to patients as you schedule, cancel, or reschedule imaging appointments.
• Collect patient demographics, insurance, authorizations, and verify eligibility.
• Collaborate with other Imaging facility staff and Radiologists to perform all functions related to the coordination of imaging scheduling.
• Educate patients about medication limitations, any required labs, and prepare them for other exam protocols such as food, water, contrast, etc.
• Screen and collect vital medical history details from the patient and enter them into the EMR.

This position is work from home within the Greater Sacramento, CA region. We will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.

Qualifications

• High School GED or Diploma.
• One (1) year experience in a centralized scheduling call center setting or a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in a health care setting.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Keyboarding skills and the ability to utilize computer equipment and software.
• Experience with other types of standard office equipment.
• Team player, able to multi-task, self-starter, detail-oriented, and proactive.

Requirements

• Familiarity with an electronic practice management system (preferred).
• Experience with multi-line phones/ACD phones (preferred).
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
