Role Description

Seeking an experienced Radiation Oncology Profee Coder to support a growing coding team. The ideal candidate will have strong recent Rad Onc specialty experience along with excellent E/M, surgical coding, anatomy, and coding guideline knowledge.

• Perform Radiation Oncology professional fee coding
• Code and abstract applicable surgical/procedural cases
• Apply current E/M guidelines accurately
• Perform coding edits and claim scrubbing
• Ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, modifier, and diagnosis assignment
• Maintain coding quality and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Strong Radiation Oncology Profee coding experience; 5+ years recent specialty experience preferred
• Strong E/M and surgical/procedural coding experience
• Excellent anatomy knowledge
• CPC or CCS required; CCS-P preferred
• CPC-A considered with 6-12 months of strong surgical coding experience
• RHIT/RHIA alone will not qualify
• Epic experience highly preferred

Requirements

• 1 opening due to growth
• Contract with opportunity to convert permanent
• Monday-Friday
• First 90 days: Must work 9 AM-3 PM MST, with remaining 2 hours worked before, after, or split around the core hours
• Flexible schedules may be available after 90 days, including potential 4x10 options
• Client provides computer equipment
• Interviews ASAP
• Candidates must complete a 25-question, 60-minute Standard Pro-Fee Coding Assessment prior to interviewing
• Assessment is heavily focused on E/M and updated E/M guidelines
• Candidate write-up must include name, state of residence, and contract pay rate
