Role Description

This role is available for a Pre-reg or CLiP student starting July 2027. When applying as a CLiP student, please select 'yes' to undertaking a Pre-reg to continue with your application successfully.

Your application will be assessed for the below stores only, as these are the stores remaining for our programme in 2027:

• Great Yarmouth
• Braintree
• Chelmsford
• Ipswich
• Norwich Castle Mall
• Bury St Edmonds

Due to upcoming changes to the registration process for internationally qualified optometrists, we do not currently offer opportunities through an international optometrist programme.

The closing date for applications is 30th October. Outcomes will be communicated to all candidates once the vacancy has closed.

Our Pre-registration Programme will give you the best possible start to your career in optics and put everything you have learned at University into practice.

What you’ll experience on the Programme:

• Attending residential courses with fellow pre-registration colleagues, which provide ongoing training and support for assessments.
• Ongoing access to online learning material, and undertaking mock exams to enable you to be well prepared for OSCE’s.

• Passion for patient care.

Requirements

• Completion of a Pre-registration check after receiving an offer.
• Submission of either a DBS, PVG, or Access NI Check depending on your location.
• Participation in an online assessment during the application process.
