Join us for our Virtual Hiring Event! We’re hiring Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) for Pediatrics clinics across the Des Moines metro. Whether you’re an experienced CMA or ready for your next career opportunity, we’d love to meet you!

As a Pediatric CMA, you’ll support providers, assist with clinical care, and help create a positive patient experience in a collaborative team environment.

• Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures
• Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure
• Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care
• Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required.
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required:
  • National Healthcare Association
  • American Association of Medical Assistants
  • National Center for Competency Testing
  • National Certified Medical Assistant
  • National Association of Health Professionals
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants
  • American Allied Health
  • American Medical Technologists
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC is a plus!
• For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing

Requirements

• $5,000 sign-on bonus offered!
• Monday-Friday - First Shift Hours (No Holidays/Evenings/On-Call)
• Weekend rotation - Saturday or Sunday 8AM-12PM every 8-12 weeks ($3 shift differential paid)
• Full-time + benefits offered
• Clinic Locations in: Ankeny, Walnut Creek - West Des Moines, Des Moines, Lakeview West Des Moines, Waukee
