Role Description

In this role, the successful candidate assists the professional nurse in the care of patients and families by completing assigned patient care tasks. Responsibilities include:

• Providing competent, safe, and compassionate care with emphasis on understanding the challenges faced by hospitalization, undergoing procedures, or diagnostic tests.
• Providing support to the unit in the maintenance and safety of supplies, equipment, and the environment.
• Demonstrating NYU Langone Health Core Values in all aspects of job performance.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience working in a hospital.
• Completed a PCT or CNA with EKG and Phlebotomy Educational Training Program, or have NHA PCT National Certification.
• AHA BLS certification.
• HS Diploma/GED or higher.

Requirements

• If you have not completed a PCT or NA with EKG and Phlebotomy training, you would have to take the NHA PCT certification to be considered.
