Role Description

As a Medical Writer, you will use your scientific expertise to develop and deliver innovative medical communications projects.

• Review and interpret data from preclinical and clinical research articles to create scientific written materials in line with project briefs.
• Work with leading international pharmaceutical clients and interact with world-renowned scientists and physicians on critical therapeutic and scientific issues.
• Remain current with medical developments and conduct literature searches to ensure delivery of accurate medical information for assigned projects.
• Participate in client meetings/teleconferences and attend scientific meetings as required.
• Synthesize clinical trial data and translate relevance for appropriate physician and consumer audiences according to client requirements for assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work to and within deadlines, and juggle multiple projects.
• Strong financial, administrative, and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task.
• 1 – 2 years of relevant experience within medical communications.
• Keen attention to detail, ability to prioritize responsibilities, and work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
• Advanced computer skills, knowledge of Internet searches, and Microsoft Windows software including Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel as needed, including weekends.
