Role Description

You are a detail-oriented, experienced medical coder who understands that accurate coding is the foundation of a healthy revenue cycle. You bring strong outpatient coding expertise and a sharp eye for documentation - catching what others miss and knowing exactly how to translate a clinical encounter into a clean, compliant claim. You communicate confidently with providers and teammates, and you know how to make complex coding questions easier to understand. You thrive in a remote environment where you can take ownership of your work, manage competing priorities, and keep things moving. Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters based on provider documentation
• Enter and manage charges within eClinicalWorks (eCW)
• Review and submit claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance prior to submission
• Identify and resolve coding-related denials; resubmit corrected claims as needed
• Collaborate with providers and billing staff to clarify documentation and coding questions
• Stay current on payor policies, coding guideline updates, and compliance requirements
• Support coding audits and quality reviews as needed

Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in outpatient medical coding
• Experience working in eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred
• Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payor billing requirements
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payor guidelines
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to coding accuracy and compliance
• Ability to independently manage priorities and follow work through to resolution in a remote environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable internet access and the ability to maintain a HIPAA-compliant remote workspace

Hourly Pay Range

$24 — $29 USD

The salary range listed reflects the full compensation range for this role level at Oasis and is designed to support growth over time. Actual offers may vary based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and alignment with the scope of the role. Offers near the top of the range are uncommon and generally reflect exceptionally deep, directly relevant experience.
