[Hiring] Medical Business Specialist @Munson Healthcare

Role Description

As a Medical Business Specialist (Receptionist), you are the first point of contact for patients & their families. Your personal interaction and efficiency start the path for an exceptional experience of care, wellness, and healing.

• Obtain/verify all required patient and insurance information and enter it into the registration system accurately.
• Schedule patient appointments, which may include return office visits, referrals, and diagnostic testing/procedures.
• Set the tone for the visit by greeting patients professionally in person and over the telephone.
• Respond effectively to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED. Associate Degree Preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or in a similar healthcare role.
• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.
• For Associate: High school graduate or GED.
• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required, usually achieved by previously working with the public with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Michigan.
• Munson Healthcare requires all employees to be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella.
• Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
