Role Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and culturally responsive Virtual Therapist to provide accessible behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their parents/caregivers through a virtual care model. The therapist will provide parent guidance, facilitate parent support groups, and deliver brief, evidence-based individual therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working collaboratively with families and is comfortable delivering high-quality mental health services through telehealth.
Key Responsibilities

Provide virtual mental health services to children, adolescents, and/or parents/caregivers.

Conduct brief, focused therapy using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Provide parent guidance and psychoeducation to help caregivers understand and respond to behavioral, emotional, and developmental concerns.

Facilitate virtual parent support/education groups, including group discussions, skills training, and psychoeducation.

Help parents develop practical strategies related to emotional regulation, behavior management, communication, coping skills, and family functioning.

Assess presenting concerns and develop individualized treatment goals and brief intervention plans.

Deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, family-centered care.

Collaborate with parents, caregivers, primary care providers, schools, and other members of the care team as appropriate.

Monitor client progress and adjust interventions based on clinical needs and response to treatment.

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Maintain appropriate professional boundaries, confidentiality, and telehealth standards.

Identify and appropriately respond to safety concerns, including assessing risk and following established escalation and crisis protocols.

Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, team meetings, and quality-improvement activities.

Qualifications

Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy.

California State License as a LMFT or LCSW.

Current, unrestricted clinical license appropriate to practice independently in the applicable jurisdiction.

Experience providing psychotherapy and/or behavioral health services to children, adolescents, parents, or families preferred.

Training and demonstrated experience in CBT or other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Experience providing services through telehealth/virtual platforms preferred.

Experience facilitating groups or parent education groups preferred.

Strong communication, clinical assessment, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and developmental backgrounds.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.

Assigned Work Hours
Five 8 hour shifts during open business hours: Monday through Friday 8am-7pm, Friday and Saturday 8am-5pm. We expect clinicians to work at least two evening shifts per week (10:30-7pm) for access to care.

Pay Range
(based on years of applicable experience): $55.36 to $74.04. The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
Hourly Evening Shift Differential: $4.03
Hourly Night Shift Differential: $6.05
