Role Description

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background in co-occurring disorders and substance use counseling. The LPC will provide clinical assessments, individual and group therapy, and support substance use recovery services within our outpatient and IOP programs. This role requires a skilled clinician who thrives in a team-oriented environment and is committed to client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy services to clients with mental health and substance use concerns
• Create and maintain person-centered treatment plans and progress notes
• Facilitate structured substance use and relapse prevention groups as part of IOP
• Use trauma-informed, evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, MI, and TF-CBT
• Provide counseling and education around substance use, triggers, and coping skills
• Support clients with co-occurring disorders in identifying goals and recovery plans
• Collaborate with referring providers, treatment facilities, probation officers, and family systems
• Conduct urine analysis screenings and monitor for treatment adherence (when applicable)
• Participate in clinical team meetings and case consultations
• Ensure documentation meets Texas Medicaid, insurance, and agency standards
• Assist with discharge planning and referrals to higher or lower levels of care
• Contribute to quality assurance and outcome tracking

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field
• Current LPC license in Texas (LPC-Associate with supervision may be considered)
• LCDC, LCDC-I, or experience with substance use clients strongly preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in outpatient mental health or addiction treatment
• Familiarity with IOP structures and group facilitation required
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Must pass background check and maintain compliance with agency policies
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
