[Hiring] Lead RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator @Froedtert

Role Description

The Lead RN Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator is responsible for all functions of the Clinical Data Abstraction Coordinator including:

• Abstraction, analysis, and submission of clinical data to national registries.
• Quality and coordination of data collection, data entry, analysis, report preparation, report submission, presentation of data, and data sharing for process improvement initiatives.
• Benchmarking/projections of future performance trends.
• Maintaining detailed knowledge of registry field definitions and reporting requirements.
• Providing technical and methodological support for assigned registry/registries.
• Identifying knowledge gaps and building knowledge in others on the multidisciplinary team.
• Communicating report findings to others throughout the organization.
• Interacting with various members of the multidisciplinary teams.
• Providing support to the H&V Quality data abstraction team in workload, staffing, education, and monitoring needs.
• Maintaining registry abstraction duties and collaborating with leadership to ensure successful functioning of the clinical data abstraction team.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience in Cardiac Cath Lab/EP lab, Cardiovascular medicine/ICU, cardiac surgery, or vascular surgery is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical data abstraction is required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing is required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Requirements

• Participation in Froedtert Organizational Learning educational sessions related to leadership after hire.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required.
• Advanced experience working in Epic EHR (documenting, chart navigation).
• Proven ability to mentor other co-workers on job tasks and workflows.
• Strong proactive organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) is required.
