[Hiring] Lab Associate @Natera

Role Description

The Lab Associate supports R&D labs by ordering, receiving, and storing reagents and materials. Upkeeps laboratory consumables and reagents inventory. Fulfills various requests by research staff related to laboratory workflows and anticipates laboratory needs.

• Perform routine housekeeping to ensure the laboratory area is neat, clean, and organized.
• Order, receive, and store supplies, reagents, and materials and verify receipt of items ordered.
• Prepare, aliquot and/or stock reagents.
• Ensure laboratory follows environmental, health and safety (EHS) and good laboratory practices (GLP) guidelines.
• Monitor satellite waste streams, including biohazardous materials and hazardous chemical waste. Dispose of waste in accordance with EHS guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as specified by the supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life-science or related field preferred.
• 1 year of experience working in a laboratory environment.

Requirements

• Works well in a team while being a self-starter.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word).
