[Hiring] Inpatient Coder @Beaufort Memorial Hospital

Role Description

Beaufort Memorial is seeking an experienced hospital coder with strong knowledge of both ICD-10-PCS and CPT coding. This position is responsible for accurately coding diagnoses and procedures for acute-care inpatient and outpatient hospital services, including psychiatric, rehabilitation and other assigned accounts.

• Reviews medical record documentation
• Assigns ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS codes as appropriate
• Ensures coding is complete, accurate and compliant with official coding guidelines
• Assigns the appropriate MS-DRG for inpatient accounts
• Assigns APC for outpatient accounts

The successful candidate will have recent inpatient hospital coding experience and be able to work independently without extensive inpatient coding training.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-PCS and CPT coding
• Recent inpatient hospital coding experience
• Ability to work independently

Requirements

• Experience with acute-care inpatient and outpatient hospital services
• Familiarity with psychiatric and rehabilitation coding
