Role Description
Join Cartwheel as a founding member of our West Virginia clinical team, bringing mental health care directly into rural schools across the state. As Cartwheel’s founding West Virginia Clinical Supervisor, you’ll deliver direct care to students and families across the state and supervise future associate licensed therapists.

As a Cartwheel clinician, you'll help make that possible for students across West Virginia.
What You’ll Do

Provide excellent care, including mental health assessments and teletherapy, to K-12 students and school staff in Cartwheel’s partner school districts

Participate in case discussions with other Cartwheel team members

Support students and families with transition to community care providers

Build collaborative, trusted, and lasting relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families

Meet and communicate regularly with school staff

Provide clinical supervision to LCSW associate clinicians

Deliver cultural competency training to Cartwheel staff and providers supporting West Virginia clients
Qualifications
-
Passion for working with schools on youth mental health and helping build a new care model for West Virginia
-
Active, West Virginia LICSW license to deliver mental health care
-
Completion of West Virginia’s Board-approved clinical supervisor training program
-
Minimum of two years experience providing supervision in the state
-
Experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing

At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience delivering mental health services to children and youth via telehealth

Access to reliable, high-speed internet (50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload)

Excellent organization, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to offer hours during and especially after school (e.g., 3-8 pm Eastern Time, Saturdays)

Ability to provide effective and safe care to children and adults, including ability to manage crisis situations virtually

Extra credit for at least five years of post-licensure clinical experience working with children and youth via telehealth

Benefits

$78,000 - $82,000+ annual salary for your first 3-6 months, transitioning to Cartwheel’s standard performance-based model thereafter

First 3-6 months: annual $60,000 - $62,000 base salary, guaranteed annual $18,000 - $20,000 care contribution bonus

After your guaranteed period: annual $60,000 - $62,000 base salary, with meaningful care contribution bonus for providing more than 20 clinical hours of care per week

Clinicians earn up to 5% Cartwheel Mission Bonus paid quarterly based on the % of students you see who have Medicaid, are uninsured, or speak a non-English language
