Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of insurance verification as primary responsibility in role required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in hospice or physician office benefit verifications
• Demonstrate commitment to hospice & palliative philosophy of care
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate an ability to work closely with a variety of people while effectively using problem-solving skills
• Intermediate computer skills

Requirements

• Verify insurance eligibility through payer websites, portals and direct payer calls

Responsibilities

• Interpret plan benefits for hospice and palliative care patients (e.g., Medicare, MA, Medicaid, commercial)
• Assist on reverifications throughout the month, ensuring our members are still active
• Work with the claims team on denials, corrections, and adjustments and reduction of bad debt due to policy limitation
