[Hiring] Advanced Technician Assistant @Veterinary System Services

Role Description

The Advanced Technician Assistant will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in at least two of the following hospital settings: GP, Shelter, Urgent Care, Specialty and ER.

• Gathering patient histories
• Taking TPRs
• Feeding and walking animals
• Patient restraint
• Cleaning kennels
• Monitoring animals’ general wellbeing
• Filling prescriptions
• Placing catheters
• Drawing blood
• Giving oral, subcutaneous, or IM medications with the dose calculated by an RVT or DVM
• Administering IV medications under direct supervision
• Restraining for anesthesia induction and intubation (will not induce or monitor anesthesia)
