Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Light & Medium Duty Technician, a mid-level Technician responsible for:

• Performing certified DOT inspections
• Conducting Preventative Maintenance inspections
• Executing light and follow-up repairs
• Performing light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (Combination of light & heavy duty preferred)
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
• Current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until expiration may be submitted in lieu of a DOT physical
• Must be at least 21 years or older due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations
• Safe drivers needed and 3 YR MVR review required

Requirements

• Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service truck
• Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment
• Confer with customers, Dispatch, and/or Sales team to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions
