Role Description
This position is remote eligible after successful completion of on-site training.
The Admission Team Lead monitors and coordinates the daily operations of assigned unit. Responsibilities include:

Coordinating patient flow and adjusting work assignments to minimize patient wait times.

Ensuring registrations are worked according to established policies and procedures to meet data quality goals.

Optimizing point of service cash collections and cash flow.
-
Providing efficient and appropriate utilization of resources.
-
Acting as a resource for team members by assisting with coaching, training, and orientation of new hires.

Providing professional development and compliance with department and CSMC policies & procedures.
-
Responsible for the integrity of the registration process to positively impact financial and customer service goals.

Understanding and supporting the goals and objectives of the leadership team.
Qualifications

Experience in healthcare or a related field.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements

Facilitates the admissions team workflow by coaching, answering questions, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and leading by example.

Assists the supervisor in preparing and posting team work schedules.

Works extended schedule and covers weekends to meet department needs 24/7.

Evaluates individual and team performance and provides feedback regarding counseling and disciplinary action.

Assists with orientation and unit training for new hires.
-
Monitors the use of overtime and ensures compliance with the departmentβs time and attendance policy.

Assists with quality control activities to ensure demographic and financial information is accurate.

Collects data to support performance indicators and quality assurance reporting.

Updates the registration system to ensure proper billing and collection.

Monitors patient wait and registration times to ensure compliance with standards.

Serves as liaison with other units in the department.

Supervises the day-to-day work of employees, assigns work, and ensures task completion.
