[Hiring] SEO Strategist @Dr. Berg Nutritionals

Role Description

We're hiring a part-time SEO Strategist to own the technical health, organic performance, and search visibility of DrBerg.com and Shop.DrBerg.com. This role is central to a new AI content pipeline scaling article production to 40–60+ pieces per month.

You'll guide topic selection for AI-generated content, optimize for both traditional search and AI discovery platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews), and directly influence how millions of people find Dr. Berg's content and products.

This position owns the end-to-end SEO program – from technical audits and bug remediation to keyword strategy, on-page optimization, backlink building, and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally in-house at a content-driven or e-commerce brand
• Demonstrated experience owning technical SEO on a large, content-heavy website (thousands of URLs)
• Proficiency with the core SEO tool stack: Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs and/or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, PageSpeed Insights, Surfer SEO or Clearscope, Google Trends, Rank Math or Yoast
• Familiarity with how AI-driven search experiences (e.g., Google AI Overviews) impact traffic and discovery
• Understanding of how large language models interpret, summarize, and cite content
• Experience optimizing content for authority, clarity, and structured information — not just keywords
• Strong working knowledge of Core Web Vitals, schema markup, redirects, canonicalization, and mobile optimization
• Experience tracking and managing SEO issues through project management tools (ClickUp, Trello, or similar)
• Ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong written communication and reporting skills

Requirements

• Experience in the health, wellness, nutrition, or supplement industry (preferred)
• Familiarity with WordPress and publishing workflows (preferred)
• Experience with content optimization platforms (Surfer SEO, Clearscope) (preferred)
• Experience with Parse.ly, VidIQ, or AnswerThePublic (preferred)
• Experience partnering with SEO agencies and managing vendor handoffs (preferred)

Position Details

• Pay Range: $50-$65/hr depending on experience
• Hours: 15-20 hours per week
• Location: Fully Remote within the US
