Role Description

Datex is a family-owned B2B SaaS company building a stronger organic growth engine. We are looking for a hands-on SEO Specialist (AEO & Content) to improve how Datex gets found, understood, trusted, and chosen.

Your job is to help Datex show up where buyers are looking, with useful content, clear answers, relevant authority, and conversion paths that move them forward.

• This role combines SEO, AI-search discoverability, content creation, website optimization, and third-party authority.
• You will identify the buyer questions Datex needs to win, determine the right content or web experience for each, create and improve those assets, and measure what is working.
• You will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and work closely with the Growth Marketing Manager, marketing team, website architect, and subject-matter experts.

Qualifications

• You are a practical, commercially minded marketer who can move between strategy and execution.
• You like figuring out what buyers are asking, finding the gaps, writing or improving the right content, publishing it, and measuring the result.
• You are comfortable bringing order to work already in progress and making smart decisions about what deserves attention first.
• You are a strong writer with enough technical fluency to work effectively with a website architect.
• You understand that SEO is not just keywords, and that AI-search visibility depends on clear content, useful proof, strong website foundations, and relevant third-party sources.
• Expect roughly 30–40% of your time to be spent writing and optimizing content.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, digital marketing, or organic growth, ideally in B2B SaaS, technology, logistics, supply chain, or another complex B2B environment.
• Strong on-page SEO skills, including keyword and search-intent research, content optimization, internal linking, and organic performance measurement.
• Practical understanding of AEO, GEO, AI-search visibility, or LLM-driven discovery.
• Excellent B2B writing skills.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress, Google Search Console, GA4, and SEMrush, Ahrefs, or a comparable SEO platform.
• You use AI to do better work faster.
• You can turn a messy tracker, scattered data, and competing requests into a clear plan, keep work moving, and show what changed as a result.
• You can turn data, search findings, and technical issues into clear, practical recommendations.
• You can maintain at least four hours of overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
