[Hiring] SEO Specialist @Aptean

Role Description

Aptean is seeking a strategic and data-driven SEO Specialist to join our global Digital Marketing team. In this role, you will manage organic search (traditional and AI) across our English-language portfolio websites, including Logility, Merlin Business Software and SSG Insight. You will turn keyword, competitor and content gap analysis into clear direction for our content team. You will be part of our global SEO team, reporting directly to the SEO Lead, with responsibility for restoring organic growth across our English-language sites. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both the analysis and the strategy behind SEO.

Qualifications

• Proven experience growing organic traffic for B2B or software websites.
• Skilled at keyword research and competitor and content gap analysis.
• Ability to turn data into clear, practical briefs that writers can act on.
• Understanding of technical SEO and ability to brief developers clearly.
• Comfortable with Google Search Console, GA4 and a major SEO platform such as Semrush.
• Familiar with how AI search is changing organic visibility and adapt your approach.
• Organised and able to manage priorities across several websites at once.
• Effective communicator who can explain SEO recommendations clearly and work well with writers, developers and marketers.

Requirements

• Set organic search priorities for each English-language site, in line with wider SEO strategy and business goals.
• Carry out keyword research, competitor analysis and content gap analysis across the portfolio.
• Turn research into content briefs and plans for the SEO Writer, and review and optimise the output.
• Optimise titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and existing content.
• Identify outdated or underperforming content and prioritise it for update.
• Monitor and improve how our brands appear in search results and AI-generated answers.
• Identify technical issues and work with the WordPress Developer to fix them.
• Track rankings, organic traffic and conversions, and report on progress.
