Role Description
The Senior Product Marketing Manager will play a critical role in shaping how we understand our buyers, position our solutions, and bring our products and services to market. This role will work cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, and Sales to translate market and customer insights into clear positioning, effective go-to-market strategies, and measurable commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities
-
Market intelligence:
Be the expert on our buyers: who they are, how they buy, their key buying criteria, and how these differ across regions. Get out and talk to customers and prospects directly, not just through second-hand data.
-
Competitive intelligence:
Own our understanding of the competitive landscape. Be the expert on who we compete against, how they're positioned, and where we win and lose and turn that into positioning and enablement the business can act on.
-
Positioning and messaging:
Work collaboratively with product and marketing to develop positioning and messaging that resonates with our target personas and users.
-
Buyer process and go-to-market:
Understand and document the buyer's journey: where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind their decisions. Use that to drive improvements to our sales and marketing processes.
-
Marketing planning:
Partner with the marketing team to build a marketing plan for the products and services you support, key activities and budgets to acquire new clients and retain and expand existing ones.
-
Measurement:
Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programmes supporting your products on an ongoing basis and report back to the business on what's working, what isn't, and what needs to change.
-
Launches:
Plan the launches of new products and releases of existing products, and own the cross-functional implementation end to end, from message to enablement to execution and beyond with feedback loops and success measurement.
-
Sales enablement:
Understand and support our sales channels. Train them on the problems we solve for buyers and users, build the internal tools and external collateral they need, and teach them how and when to use it. Know whether it's actually being used and iterate.
-
Thought leadership:
Be the voice for the products you support, webinars and speaking engagements and produce written work that builds our credibility in-market.
-
Strategic and tactical balance:
Operate comfortably across both by helping to shape the longer term positioning and GTM strategy, while also rolling up your sleeves on the day to day assets and enablement with support of the product and marketing teams and the Product Director.
