Role Description
As a product marketer for Blackpoint Cyber, you will play a critical role in defining how our products are positioned, messaged, understood, and adopted in the market.

Collaborate across various parts of the business including product, engineering, sales, customer success, enablement, and our SOC.

Translate complex technical content into clear, compelling messaging and storylines for diverse audiences.

Develop a bill of materials that helps sales talk with their prospects and customers for every new capability, feature set, and major product launch.
Your day-to-day focus includes:

Product Positioning and Messaging:
-
Position Blackpoint competitively in the Managed Detection and Response (MDR) market.

Engage with industry analysts and influencers to strengthen Blackpoint’s market presence and reputation.

Work alongside Product Management to understand customer problems and translate that into compelling messages.

Sales Enablement and Field Readiness:
-
Develop a bill of materials for each new product update or launch.
-
Create messaging frameworks, pitch materials, battlecards, solution briefs, and product presentations.

Partner with Sales, Sales Engineering, and Enablement to improve field readiness.

Content Creation:

Conduct product-related webinars to educate MSPs and their end customers.
-
Develop product-focused content including website messaging, product videos, and blog posts.

GTM Planning and Execution:

Determine launch tiers and educate the company on the “why” behind the tiering.

Lead cross-functional launch coordination across various teams.

Marketing Campaign Support:

Support marketing campaigns with product-related messaging and positioning.

Partner with Content and Demand Generation to align campaigns with product messaging.

Competitive Intelligence & Differentiation:

Conduct in-depth competitive research on the cybersecurity landscape.

Identify key differentiators and develop competitive positioning narratives.
-
Gather insights from various stakeholders to inform messaging and positioning.
-
Maintain ongoing awareness of evolving customer challenges and security operations trends.
Qualifications
-
8-10 years of product marketing, product management, customer success, or sales engineering roles within the cybersecurity industry.

Cybersecurity product marketing experience including a minimum of one of the following technologies: EDR, ITDR, SIEM, Security Awareness Training.

An understanding of the MSP market, how they think, market, and sell to end customers.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Proven ability to lead small to medium cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.

Experience engaging with external stakeholders through webinars, presentations, or events.

Strong analytical and research skills; able to synthesize market, customer, and competitive insights into actionable strategies.
