Role Description

We are hiring a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to help us tell the Sourcegraph story and scale the go-to-market for one of the most critical pieces of engineering infrastructure for the largest enterprises building the future.

In this role, you will report to our Head of Marketing, and sit at the intersection of our go-to-market and technical teams to drive thought leadership, product leadership, and market leadership. Our customers are developers and engineering leaders at the largest and most successful companies in the world who rely on us to help them write better code, understand their codebases, secure their products, and adopt the newest and most impactful technology. You will translate deep technical capability into clear market narratives, turn product direction into launches that land, and ensure go-to-market is aligned, credible, and effective.

Sourcegraph is a $50m ARR business, growing fast, with customers like Stripe, OpenAI, X, Uber, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, Booking.com, and many more. We are doubling down on our core Search technology, including Deep Search, Code Search, Sourcegraph MCP and APIs for agents, and critical code migration and workflow engines, like Agentic Batch Changes for large-scale changes at scale. You will be responsible for the technical product marketing that will bring that story to life in the market, as well as ensuring alignment with and results from our Demand Gen and DevRel teams.

  • Within one month, you will:
    • Ramp up quickly on the product, our audience, and the market landscape
    • Build trust with the GTM and EPD teams
    • Identify clear product marketing gaps and quick wins
  • Within three months, you will:
    • Establish clearly defined messaging frameworks
    • Take the lead on product releases and launches
    • Create and deliver sales enablement assets
    • Establish strong operating rhythm with GTM and EPD teams
  • Within six months, you will:
    • Make product launches and releases repeatable and predictable
    • Drive high-impact initiatives that directly influence pipe generation and deal velocity
    • Partner closely with Demand Generation and DevRel on high-impact campaigns
  • Within one year, you will:
    • Clearly attribute activities to revenue impact
    • Shape GTM strategy
    • Raise the bar for PMM across the organization

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of work experience in product marketing, developer marketing, product management, or related technical marketing roles in a B2B enterprise setting.
  • Strong familiarity with developer tools and modern developer workflows, with a deep interest in AI-driven software development.
  • Proven ownership of end-to-end technical product launches, spanning positioning, field enablement, and launch execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with technical teams to define what sets Sourcegraph apart and translate that differentiation into clear, credible, and memorable stories across channels.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales motions and navigating complex buying cycles.
  • Strong sales enablement muscle, building and maintaining high-impact collateral and assets that scale and move enterprise deals forward.
  • Experience delivering integrated campaigns in partnership with Demand Generation, Field Marketing, and DevRel across webinars, videos, web content, and events.
  • Customer-first mindset, translating real customer feedback into messaging, positioning, and product direction.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with a deep understanding of how modern software is built, shipped, and adopted.
  • Bias toward action, moving quickly and putting bold ideas into motion.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Background in software engineering or software development.
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) in enterprise or strategic account motions.
