[Hiring] Senior Paid Search Specialist @Cardiff

Role Description

The role involves managing Cardiff's highest-intent channel, focusing on search advertising. You will own the auction against competitors for valuable clicks that can lead to significant funded deals.

• Own roughly a third of Cardiff's total paid media, about $700K–$1M a month on Google Ads.
• Accountable for search strategy, total media spend, and channel-level performance.
• Manage the account end to end, including budgets, bid strategies, and modifiers.
• Run the keyword and search term program, focusing on brand versus non-brand economics.
• Close the loop to funded revenue by managing offline conversion imports from Salesforce.
• Optimize Performance Max (PMax) campaigns and prove their effectiveness.
• Own Microsoft Ads as a second channel, building it out properly.
• Grow the search portfolio against aggressive growth targets.
• Evaluate and launch new search and intent platforms.
• Drive landing page strategy with the web team for better performance.
• Build the Spanish-language search program with its own performance targets.
• Partner with SEO to ensure paid and organic efforts are aligned.
• Report on key metrics with actionable insights.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years managing Google Ads directly, including hands-on Performance Max and large-scale Search accounts.
• Experience managing $500K to $1M+ a month in paid search spend.
• Demonstrated experience with offline conversion imports or equivalent server-side conversion setup.
• Strong command of Google Ads Editor, scripts, or API for bulk work.
• Comfortable defending decisions to pause seemingly profitable campaigns.
• Google Ads certification is acceptable; a rebuilt account structure is preferred.

Requirements

• Microsoft Ads (Bing) management experience is a significant advantage.
• Experience establishing a new paid channel from zero to meaningful spend.
• Experience with a paid search program in a regulated or lending category.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, GTM, and a warehouse-based reporting stack.
