[Hiring] Senior Email & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist @Acentecom

Role Description

We’re looking for a Senior Email & Lifecycle Marketing Strategist to help build and scale our email and retention program alongside the Retention Lead. This is not a support role where you’ll simply execute against someone else’s briefs. You’ll help shape the strategy, identify opportunities, and take ideas all the way from concept to launch.

Our retention program is fully in-house, including campaigns, flows, automations, and creative. You’ll work across multiple brands, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, thinking ahead, spotting what’s missing, and using every campaign and experiment to make the broader retention program stronger.

What You’ll Own

• Partner with the Retention Lead to shape the email and retention strategy, campaign calendar, lifecycle roadmap, and testing priorities.
• Own campaign execution from initial idea through launch, ensuring plans turn into high-quality sends without constant follow-up.
• Plan campaigns and lifecycle moments ahead of time, identifying opportunities before they become urgent.
• Build and optimize campaigns, flows, and automations in Klaviyo, including segmentation, personalization, QA, and deployment.
• Create clear, actionable creative briefs for designers and step into hands-on design when needed.
• Manage email and retention programs across multiple brands while maintaining a distinct voice and customer experience for each.
• Develop and run A/B tests across subject lines, offers, messaging, and creative, turning results into actionable improvements.
• Monitor deliverability, list health, campaign performance, and the relationship between campaigns and automated flows.
• Analyze performance, identify patterns and opportunities, and proactively recommend what we should test or build next.
• Help create a retention program that drives repeat engagement through genuine customer connection rather than relying on constant promotional pressure.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in email marketing, CRM, lifecycle, or retention, with meaningful ownership beyond campaign execution.
• Proven experience helping shape or build an email and retention program, rather than solely executing predefined tasks.
• Strong hands-on Klaviyo experience, including campaigns, flows, segmentation, personalization, testing, and QA.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to move comfortably between longer-term planning and detailed campaign execution.
• Strong ownership and initiative: you can take an incomplete idea, help shape it, and drive it through completion without needing constant direction.
• Experience managing email programs across multiple brands or audiences simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of lifecycle and retention strategy, including how campaigns, automated flows, and customer touchpoints work together.
• Strong creative judgment and the ability to write effective briefs, evaluate creative, and communicate with customers in a natural, brand-appropriate way.
• Experience using testing and performance data to make decisions and continuously improve the program.
• Experience with DTC or e-commerce brands; health, wellness, supplements, or subscription businesses is especially relevant.
• Familiarity with Shopify and hands-on SMS experience.
• HTML/CSS knowledge for email is a plus.
