Role Description
We are seeking a meticulous and data-driven Promotional Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of promo code campaigns, from creation and testing to tracking and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all campaigns run smoothly.
- Play a key role in forecasting promo budgets and addressing any challenges that arise.
Key Responsibilities

Promo Code Management:
- Oversee the creation and implementation of promo codes for Offline marketing campaigns.
- Ensure codes are correctly set up with relevant parameters such as start/stop dates, channels, regions, and audience targeting.
- Work closely with the Promo Ops team to ensure smooth setup and execution of campaigns.
- Collaborate with the fraud team to address and mitigate any promo code fraud issues, ensuring no leakage of promo spend.

Campaign Creation and Attribution Tracking:
- Manage the setup of promo code campaigns in our internal platform, Campaign Manager, ensuring they adhere to targeting parameters.
- Upload promo codes to our tracking system (Snowflake) and ensure that they are correctly attributed to the right channels for accurate reporting.

Promo Code QA and Troubleshooting:
- Ensure that all promo codes undergo a rigorous QA process by preparing detailed documentation for the Promo Ops team, who will verify the code setups.
- Investigate and resolve any issues with codes not seeing expected redemptions by working closely with internal teams and agencies.

Promo Code Reporting:
- Generate and send weekly promo code reports to agencies to track code redemptions.
- Flag any discrepancies and take proactive steps to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Promo Code Budget Forecasting and Spend Monitoring:
- Forecast quarterly promo spend for all Offline marketing channels, accounting for varying redemption rates across regions and channels.
- Monitor weekly promo spend reports to ensure they align with forecasted budgets and adjust forecasts as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience handling large datasets, especially related to budget management, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and track performance, with experience in forecasting and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with SQL & Database Management to ensure smooth data flow (bonus points if you are proficient!).
- Familiarity with writing macros in VBA to automate repetitive tasks is a plus.
Key Competencies
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, especially in handling discrepancies with promo codes or data-related issues.
- High accuracy in tracking promo codes, ensuring they are set up and reported correctly.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with various teams, including finance, promo ops, and marketing.
- Proactively look for ways to improve workflows and make processes more efficient.
- Some knowledge of marketing campaigns and their objectives will be a plus.

- Ability to work US hours (preferably EST, but CST is acceptable).
- A passion for optimizing marketing operations and using data to drive better outcomes.
