Role Description
As PR Manager Ireland at bunq, you'll be at the forefront of our mission to make waves in Ireland, where we currently don't have a strong presence yet.
- Take ownership of bunq’s media presence in Ireland, playing a pivotal role in expanding our influence and sharing our story.
- Design and implement media relations campaigns that maximize available resources and prioritize creativity over paid solutions.
- Leverage your media relations experience to establish and sustain meaningful connections with journalists, editors, and industry influencers.
- Write press releases and create messaging in your local language to effectively communicate bunq’s stories and values.
- Proactively manage potential crises by preparing and delivering effective crisis statements with speed and confidence.
- Track media coverage, respond to inquiries, and transform challenges into opportunities for positive publicity.
- Ensure our presence at key events and awards, thoroughly preparing speakers for success.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in public and media relations
- Strong writing and editing skills with excellent communication abilities
- Strategic thinker capable of developing and executing effective PR campaigns
- Resilient and resourceful, thriving on learning from every experience—success or setback
- Passionate about bunq's mission and values
- Familiarity with the media landscape relevant to our industry and digital nomads
- Native-level English skills
Requirements
- Willingness to travel to Amsterdam for onboarding and visit our Dutch headquarters 4 times a year
- Ability to work from home or small office spaces available in Dublin
- Join a remote team, with most PR colleagues based in Amsterdam and one dedicated PR Manager per country
