Role Description

Helium SEO is hiring a 1099 Paid Search Specialist that will be responsible for the strategy, implementation, optimization, and reporting of paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Bing Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn.

Role expectations include:

• Build and manage paid advertising campaigns for multiple clients ranging from $k-$10k+/mo in ad spend across various industries.
• Develop growth strategies for clients and execute around measurable KPIs.
• Monitor and analyze performance data and report results effectively to the team.
• Create client-facing presentations, as needed, to report on strategy, testing, performance, and insights.
• Proactively perform keyword research, A/B ad copy testing, competitor analysis, test target audiences and bid strategies.
• Participate in creative discussions around strategies and tactics that drive results with a team of Ad Specialists.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing Google Ads campaigns from scratch, including Search and Performance Max (PMAX).
• Ability to clearly explain and apply Google Ads bidding strategies — including Maximize Conversions, Maximize Conversion Value, Target CPA, and Target ROAS.
• Previous experience at a digital marketing or paid search agency managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Proven experience with Meta Ads in addition to Google.
• Strong working knowledge of keyword research, match types, and negative keyword management within Google Ads.
• Experience with Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager for conversion tracking setup and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in English — reading, writing, and speaking.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft/Bing Ads.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Ads.
• Experience using Looker Studio to build client-facing dashboards and reports.
• Exposure to conversion tracking implementation via HubSpot or similar CRM platforms.
• Experience managing home services or local services clients.

Additional

• This 1099 position will start at about 20 hours per week.
• Work remotely from home.
• This position is a contract, and you will be responsible for setting your own schedule and invoicing us for the hours worked.
• This position is not eligible for benefits.
