Role Description
The Marketing Coordinator supports CHDβs marketing and fundraising work by producing written content and running paid advertising. The role writes and edits campaign copy, website pages, emails, and other collateral so messaging stays accurate, on-brand, and consistent with AP Style. It also plans, builds, and optimizes paid social and display campaigns, tracks performance, and manages advertising budgets in coordination with the Director of Marketing. The Coordinator works across marketing, design, and other departments to keep campaigns, website updates, and rapid-response communications aligned with CHDβs brand and mission.
Responsibilities

Content Writing
-
Write, edit, and proofread copy for marketing and development campaigns, email, landing pages, and other marketing collateral.

Write and update content for the CHD website, including articles, page copy, and blog posts.

Ensure all written content aligns with CHD's brand voice, tone, and AP Style standards.

Review and provide feedback on content drafted by supporting team members before publication.

Collaborate with the Graphic Design Team to pair copy with visuals for campaigns and web pages.

Paid Advertising

Plan, build, and manage paid social media ad campaigns (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X), with support from marketing team members as needed.

Coordinate with social media team for any social media ads.

Plan, build, and manage display ad campaigns across relevant ad networks.
-
Monitor ad performance, adjust targeting and creative, and optimize campaigns to meet KPIs.

Manage paid advertising budgets, coordinating with the Director of Marketing on overall allocation.

Delegate and oversee campaign-related tasks to supporting team members, ensuring quality and consistency.

Marketing Project Support

Support execution of marketing campaigns, launches, and initiatives from concept through completion.

Coordinate with other departments to gather accurate, up-to-date information for marketing content and website updates.

Assist with maintaining the CHD website, including content updates and basic edits.

Participate in planning meetings for campaigns, events, and rapid-response communications.

Help maintain CHD's brand guidelines and ensure all marketing materials adhere to them.

Analytics & Reporting

Track and report on content and paid ad performance (traffic, engagement, conversions, ROAS).

Use performance data to inform content and advertising strategy recommendations.

Prepare regular reports for the Director of Marketing on campaign and content performance.

Additional Responsibilities

Attend meetings, events, and conferences as required.

Respond to calls, emails, and messages in a timely manner.

Perform other duties as assigned to support CHD's mission.
Qualifications

Deep alignment with CHD's mission and goals.

Associateβs Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

3-5 years of experience in marketing, content writing, or copywriting, including experience managing paid social media and/or display advertising campaigns.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Experience managing paid ad platforms (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, Display Ads).

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Proficiency in Google Workplace.

Ability to review analytics and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Strong problem-solving skills.
-
Solid knowledge of SEO and keyword search.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Requirements

Experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
