[Hiring] Internal Communications Specialist @1000 Wellstar Health System, Inc.

Role Description

This role involves planning, developing, and implementing internal or external focused messaging delivered through various channels.

• Manages requests from local leadership and team members to ensure proper resources are coordinated and assigned to support needs.
• Develops effective written communications based on information provided or gathered, including articles, presentations, speeches, scripts, talking points, outlines, and collateral material.
• Collaborates with team members in Communications and other departments, and interacts with senior organizational leadership for message proofing and approval.
• Develops and implements moderately complex, comprehensive communications plans based on information and direction from client departments and supervisors.
• Creates and executes organization-wide comprehensive communications plans for moderately complex strategic initiatives.
• Assists in the development, launch, and management of internal programs and publications to improve communication throughout the organization.
• Assists in managing corporate intranet content by utilizing content management systems, updating and maintaining content as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience writing, editing, and proofreading content for news/journalism/marketing channels.

Requirements

• Demonstrated internal and external print, online, and broadcast experience.
• Ability to interpret highly technical information and translate it into easily accessible information.
• Ability to handle proprietary and confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to build and maintain a reputation as a reliable, confidential, and professional contributor to corporate efforts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to customize messaging for a variety of channels.
