About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Publishing to lead our publishing efforts and drive the growth of our game portfolio. This strategic role will require an individual with a deep understanding of marketing, user acquisition (UA), growth strategies, and game publishing, who can drive both the reach and engagement of our games across diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for gaming, and a track record of successfully scaling games through innovative strategies
What You Can Expect To Work On:
- Game Marketing: Develop and implement end-to-end marketing strategies for game titles, focusing on brand awareness, player engagement, and retention.
- User Acquisition (UA): Lead and optimize user acquisition strategies, utilizing performance marketing and data-driven insights to drive game installs and player retention across digital platforms.
- Growth Strategy: Create and execute growth strategies aimed at scaling game titles globally, increasing player lifetime value (LTV), and fostering a thriving community of active players.
- Publishing Strategy: Oversee the entire game publishing lifecycle, from pre-launch marketing to live-operations, ensuring smooth launches, continuous content updates, and long-term player engagement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product, creative, and development teams to ensure alignment on game content, updates, and player-focused initiatives.
- Community Engagement & Retention: Develop strategies for building and maintaining strong, engaged communities around our games, including through social media, in-game events, and influencer partnerships.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze campaign performance, game metrics (e.g., DAU, MAU, ARPU), and player feedback, using this data to continuously improve publishing strategies.
- Market Research: Stay on top of industry trends, competitive landscape, and new technologies to keep our publishing efforts cutting-edge and competitive.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing publishing team, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation within the department.
Requirements
What You Need to Succeed:
- Preferred experience: 5+ years in a publishing role or equivalent
- Strong background in digital marketing, user acquisition, and growth strategies, with a focus on mobile games.
- Deep understanding of the gaming industry, player behavior, and trends, with hands-on experience launching and scaling successful game titles.
- Expertise in data-driven decision-making, with the ability to analyze metrics (e.g., retention, monetization, player engagement) and optimize strategies accordingly.
- Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving successful game publishing initiatives.
- Familiarity with game launch processes, including localization, community management, and post-launch content strategy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with external partners and stakeholders.
