[Hiring] Head of Product Marketing @Ocean Security

Role Description

We're hiring our Head of Product Marketing. This is not a role where you inherit a team or a playbook and spend your time managing it. You'll be the team (at least to start) and define how Ocean tells its story, creates demand, and shows up in the market from the ground up.

We also don't want you to spend the first month executing a template. We want you to spend it figuring out what Ocean actually needs, in what order, and then tell us. Some of what we think we need will turn out to be wrong, and we'd rather hear that from you early than politely later.

You'll work in genuine co-ownership with our head of product, not adjacent to her. Our product and R&D team is in Tel Aviv and ships fast. Our sales and field teams are in the US. You'll be the connective tissue between them, which in practice means holding your early mornings ET open for Israel. It's also the best part of the job, because you'll get closer to how the product actually works than most product marketers ever get to be.

You'll help turn a genuinely differentiated product and an incredibly interesting problem into stories and experiences that make people understand Ocean, remember Ocean, and want to learn more.

We move quickly. Good ideas can become real very fast. We care about quality, but we don't believe great work requires endless meetings, layers of approval, or bureaucracy. You'll have real ownership, direct access to the people making decisions, and a huge amount of room to make your mark.

Responsibilities

• Own Ocean's story.
• Develop and evolve how we position Ocean in the market, including how we're different from the alternatives buyers are already considering.
• Build messaging that is clear, differentiated, and compelling, and adapt it for the audiences and moments that matter most.
• Turn complex technology into something people care about.
• Build the content engine, don't become it.
• Make enablement programmatic.
• Shape how Ocean shows up in the market.
• Lead major product and company moments.
• Build the function.

Qualifications

• Product marketing experience at a cybersecurity startup.
• Exceptional content creation and writing skills.
• Experience owning positioning and messaging.
• Experience leading analyst briefings yourself.
• The instinct to interrogate rather than accept.
• Experience operating as the whole product marketing function, or close to it.
• You build with AI, not just alongside it.
• Comfort appearing on camera and communicating publicly.
