Role Description

Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns with a primary focus on generating qualified leads and delivering measurable results.

The Google Ads Specialist will manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns across multiple client accounts, with a primary focus on lead generation. Working closely with Client Success Managers and the wider marketing team, the role will develop effective advertising strategies, improve campaign performance and help clients generate a consistent flow of qualified leads.

The role requires ownership of campaign performance, regular analysis of performance data and proactive identification of opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates, cost efficiency and overall campaign results.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Build, launch and manage Google Ads campaigns.
• Develop lead generation strategies tailored to each client’s objectives.
• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.
• Manage search campaigns, keyword targeting and negative keywords.
• Write and test compelling ad copy.
• Manage campaign budgets and bidding strategies.
• Monitor daily campaign performance and make data-driven optimisations.
• Identify opportunities to improve click-through rates, conversion rates and cost per lead.
• Troubleshoot underperforming campaigns and implement improvements.
• Set up and manage conversion tracking.
• Develop strategies to generate high-quality leads at an efficient cost.
• Monitor and optimise Cost Per Lead (CPL) and conversion rates.
• Analyse lead quality and campaign performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve landing pages and conversion journeys.
• Collaborate with the team on landing pages, offers and lead generation funnels.
• Make strategic recommendations to improve client results.
• Track performance against client objectives and KPIs.
• Monitor and report on campaign performance.
• Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights.
• Identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
• Provide recommendations based on performance data.
• Communicate campaign updates and results effectively to the internal team and clients.
• Use AI tools to support keyword research, ad copy development, data analysis, reporting and campaign optimisation where appropriate.
• Take ownership of Cost Per Lead (CPL), lead quality, conversion rates, budget efficiency, conversion tracking accuracy, campaign performance improvements and client satisfaction.
• Monitor Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) and Campaign Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), where applicable.
• Contribute to lead generation strategy.
• Introduce new tools and processes.
• Keep up with changes in Google Ads and the wider digital marketing industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience managing Google Ads campaigns.
• Proven experience generating leads through Google Ads.
• Experience with lead generation for service-based businesses.
• Experience managing and optimising advertising budgets.
• Strong understanding of campaign performance metrics and conversion tracking.
• Experience with keyword research and search intent.
• Experience with campaign optimisation and budget management.
• Experience with conversion tracking and attribution.
• Experience with ad copywriting and testing.
• Experience with landing page performance and conversion optimisation.
• Experience with data analysis and performance reporting.
• Ability to identify and resolve campaign performance issues.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed optimisation decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with AI tools and marketing workflow automation would be highly desirable.
