Role Description
Vannevar Labs is looking for a Communication and Talent Brand Manager to lead the development and execution of our communications and marketing strategy. This role will focus on building out a team dedicated to driving the company’s business objectives through media relations, executive prep, digital marketing, thought leadership, and internal communications. You will work closely with leadership to craft and deliver compelling messages and campaigns that resonate with external stakeholders, customers, and employees alike.
- Work closely with our leadership to shape and maintain a compelling company narrative that articulates our mission, technology, and impact
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with Vannevar Labs' business objectives, including media relations, think tank engagement, public affairs, and internal communications
- Co-create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for external communications, including press releases, blogs, newsletters, and social media, with the media agency, design team, and executive team
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media, analysts, and external stakeholders to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation, as well as manage our external vendor relationships related to communications
- Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of communication and marketing strategies
Qualifications
- 4+ years in communications and marketing, with experience in talent marketing
- Demonstrated interest in the defense, technology, or startup sectors
- Strong, speedy written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messages
- Experience in building teams that produce high-impact communications and campaigns
- Proactive ownership mindset with a proven track record of “getting things done”
- Grit and creativity when faced with a roadblock
