[Hiring] Brand Marketing Senior Manager @Lumen Technologies

Role Description

Lumen is building the trusted network for AI, and the way we tell that story matters as much as the story itself. We are looking for a Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to help bring the Lumen brand to market at national scale.

Reporting to the Director of Brand Strategy, this role is a strategic right hand in leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of the Lumen national brand campaign. In particular, you will manage the day-to-day relationship with our brand creative and media agencies in close partnership with our internal teams, ensuring every idea and tactic that reaches market ladders back to a single, coherent brand strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.

This is a highly cross-functional, high-visibility role for a brand marketer who is part strategist, part storyteller, and part operator. An ideal candidate will be comfortable moving between the whiteboard, the creative review, and the performance dashboard, and bringing big ideas and learnings to leadership.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, execution, optimization, and roadmap for the Lumen national brand campaign in partnership with the Director of Brand Strategy, keeping milestones, cross-functional inputs, budget, and outcomes aligned.
• Translate the brand platform into an integrated, multi-market campaign plan across paid, owned, and earned channels, ensuring all work ladders back to a coherent brand narrative.
• Develop and maintain the enterprise brand messaging framework as the single source of truth, adapting messaging by audience, market, channel, and funnel stage while safeguarding one brand voice.
• Partner with External and Internal Communications, Product Marketing, Creative, Events, DX, and Sponsorships teams to cascade campaign messaging and equip partners to use the framework.
• Manage the day-to-day brand creative agency relationship in partnership with the internal creative team, from briefing and concept development through testing, production, scope, budget, and performance accountability.
• Partner with the Brand Measurement lead to translate campaign performance and brand-health results into clear leadership recommendations, with a practical point of view on what to continue, change, or test next.
• Present strategy, recommendations, progress, and results to senior stakeholders clearly and confidently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of experience in brand and integrated marketing, brand strategy, or advertising, including national campaigns.
• Demonstrated ownership of messaging frameworks, brand narratives, or campaign message architecture across multiple audiences and channels.
• Proven experience managing external creative and media agencies, including budget responsibility.
• Experience with campaign measurement, brand tracking, and testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience partnering with external communications, internal communications, events, and product/demand campaigns.
• B2B, technology, or telecommunications brand experience — familiarity with cloud, networking, or AI categories is a strong plus.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, evolving brand environment where the platform and messaging are still being shaped.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

• $132,232 - $176,310 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY
• $138,844 - $185,124 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
• $145,456 - $193,940 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
