Role Description
The Brand and Business Strategist is responsible for developing and executing brand and business strategies that strengthen brand identity, increase market relevance, and support business and revenue growth. This role combines market research, consumer insights, competitive analysis, positioning, storytelling, and creative strategy.

Build Quigley-Simpson’s strategy function—process, tools, and standards.

Develop and maintain clients’ overall brand strategy and positioning.

Conduct market, competitor, cultural, and consumer research.

Identify target audiences, customer needs, and market opportunities.

Define brand purpose, vision, values, personality, and messaging.

Develop positioning and differentiated value propositions.

Create brand messaging frameworks and communication strategies.

Help manage brand guidelines, and ensure consistent brand expression across channels.

Guide campaigns and creative work to ensure brand consistency.

Translate business objectives into clear brand and marketing strategies.

Monitor brand perception, awareness, and competitive positioning.

Analyze campaign and market performance, and recommend improvements (along with analytics).

Uncover new sources of brand and business growth from underserved audiences/markets and product offerings.

Present strategic recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders.

Create a point of view on AI and emerging tools, where they accelerate strategy and creative development for clients and the agency, and where the agency should lead versus follow.

Instill a repeatable system connecting insight → strategy → execution → results → learning, with the cadence, tools, and governance to make it operational rather than aspirational.

Make strategy visible, practical, and embedded in everyday agency work.

Lead strategic development on new business pitches, partnering with growth, creative, media, and account leadership to win new client relationships.

Serve as a senior strategic counselor to Quigley-Simpson’s key clients and high-value prospects.
Qualifications

Client or agency marketing leadership roles; 15+ years of experience.

Experience in brand strategy, marketing strategy, advertising, and consumer insights.

Strong research, analytical, and strategic-thinking skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Ability to turn complex research into clear strategic recommendations.

Strong presentation and storytelling skills.

Exceptional communicator who can make complex thinking feel simple and motivating.
