Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Workers' Compensation (Deposition) Attorneys looking for work or a new opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for managing workers' compensation claims, providing legal counsel to clients, and advocating effectively on their behalf. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of workers' compensation law, along with a broad background in various legal disciplines including personal injury law, litigation, and legal research. Duties

• Manage the full spectrum of workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and stay current on relevant statutes and case law.
• Prepare and file legal motions, court depositions, and pleadings with precision and adherence to procedural law requirements.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and other parties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Draft detailed legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and case summaries that clearly articulate client positions.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, mediations, and trials, demonstrating strong litigation skills.
• Maintain effective communication with clients to keep them informed of case developments and provide sound legal counsel.
• Conduct statutory legal research related to employment law, tribal law & regulations, environmental law, or other relevant areas as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex cases involving general & commercial litigation or personal injury cases.
• Manage case files efficiently using legal case management systems while ensuring timely updates and documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation law combined with experience in personal injury law and general litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Strong negotiation skills to advocate effectively for clients during settlement discussions.
• Excellent written communication skills for drafting motions, pleadings, contracts, and reports.
• Proven ability to prepare for trial through meticulous trial preparation techniques.
• Familiarity with procedural law knowledge relevant to court depositions and litigation processes.
• Experience in employment law case management and client communication strategies.
• Ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of statutory laws affecting workers’ compensation claims across different jurisdictions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal drafting, motion preparation, and legal administrative tasks.
• Strong research skills coupled with the ability to interpret complex legal issues clearly.

Benefits

• Pay is: $75k-$95k + Benefits
• Pay varies depending on experience.
