[Hiring] Trustee - Governance @Malaria Consortium

Role Description

Malaria Consortium is recruiting a new Trustee with governance expertise. We are seeking a Trustee with strong governance experience to join our Board and contribute to the effective governance and oversight of Malaria Consortium.

• The Trustee will support the Board in fulfilling its strategic and fiduciary responsibilities.
• They will bring insight into effective governance practices and Board-level decision-making.
• Contribute to discussions on organisational strategy, accountability, risk management, and performance.
• Help ensure that the charity operates with integrity, transparency, and strong oversight.
• We are particularly interested in candidates with governance expertise who can support the charity and the Board in fulfilling their oversight responsibilities.
• Experience of effective Board-level ways of working, sound judgement in complex organisational environments.
• Understanding of how governance structures enable accountability, prudent risk management, and high-quality strategic decision-making within a charity operating at scale.
• Experience engaging with government or public institutions at a senior level.
• Understanding of how public policy, parliamentary processes, and government systems shape the operating environment for international charities.
• This role would suit someone with significant senior leadership, governance, public policy, or Board-level experience.
• Previous experience as a Trustee, Non-Executive Director, or member of a governance committee would be advantageous but is not essential.
• The time commitment for this role is approximately two days per month.

• Understanding of public policy and parliamentary processes.
