[Hiring] Subrogation Adjuster @Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool

Role Description

This role is responsible for assessing claims for subrogation potential by identifying responsible parties, determining theories of liability, and evaluating applicable third-party insurance coverage with the goal of recovering claim funds from the appropriate sources. This position involves communication with Member representatives, third-party insurance carriers, and uninsured responsible parties, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Years of Experience: 1
• Area of Experience: Subrogation, Liability, Property Claims, Workers’ Compensation Claims, or a related field
• Insurance Adjuster License
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be accepted
• Preferred: Property/Casualty License

Requirements

• Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry
• Possess knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Proficiency in MS Word
• Proficiency in MS Outlook
• Preferred: Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
• Preferred: Proficiency in Guidewire ClaimCenter
