Role Description
Apollo is hiring a Senior Counsel, Product to serve in a key support capacity for both the Legal team and the broader Apollo.io product and engineering teams. This role is designed to be a “builder-operator” position:

What You’ll Do

Provide Strategic Legal Support to the Product & Engineering Teams

Advise the product and engineering teams on compliance with laws
-
Craft risk mitigation solutions that balance legal requirements with business objectives

Develop relationships with product managers and engineering managers
-
Review product documentation and designs
-
Monitor legal and regulatory developments

Scale the Product Counseling Function

Support processes and operations within the Apollo legal team
-
Design, implement, and iterate on policies, processes, and procedures

Develop training materials and conduct training sessions
-
Support the Marketing Function
-
Represent Legal as a stakeholder in the product launch process

Provide general marketing support, including content review
-
Be a Team Player Alongside Privacy & Commercial
-
Work closely with Apollo’s Privacy Legal team

Support the Commercial Legal function in escalated product-related contracting questions
Qualifications
-
J.D. and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
-
7-10 years of legal experience (law firm + in-house strongly preferred)

Experience in a fast-paced, remote-first, global tech company; B2B SaaS strongly preferred

Ability to translate between business and technical risk

Strong understanding of consumer protection laws and/or global data privacy laws

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects efficiently

Builder-mentality with a collaborative, low-ego approach
Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of AI/ML legal and related regulatory landscape
-
Comfortable with and/or interested in using AI tools to enhance drafting, research, and workflow efficiency

Prior experience with international compliance issues
Requirements

The listed Pay Range reflects the total cash compensation inclusive of annual base salary and annual bonus as applicable.

For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range.

This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Apollo and will be narrowed during the interview process.
