[Hiring] Senior Corporate Counsel @Legence

Role Description

Legence is seeking an experienced and business-oriented Senior Corporate Counsel to join its Legal Department. Reporting to the General Counsel and working closely with senior business leaders across the organization, this attorney will provide legal support for:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Acquisition integration
• Commercial transactions
• Financing activities
• Real estate matters
• Tax-related initiatives
• Corporate governance support
• Strategic corporate projects

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited U.S. law school
• Active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum 8+ years of legal experience, including substantial in-house corporate counsel experience
• Significant experience supporting M&A transactions, commercial contracting, corporate governance matters, and financing transactions
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong project management, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice

Requirements

• Experience supporting private equity-backed or public companies
• Experience with acquisition integration programs
• Experience with partnership structures, UP-C structures, or other complex corporate reorganizations
• Energy, infrastructure, industrial, construction, engineering, or related industry experience
• Familiarity with SEC reporting, public company governance, and capital markets matters
• Demonstrated experience managing substantial outside counsel relationships and spend
