Role Description
The Senior Contracts Manager, EPC will take a lead role in the strategic development, negotiation, and comprehensive management of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts. This position is critical in mitigating contractual risks, optimizing commercial terms, and ensuring robust contract governance throughout the project lifecycle, while driving continuous improvement and best practices across the organization.
Responsibilities

Strategic EPC Contract Negotiation & Risk Management

Lead and direct highly complex and high-value EPC contract negotiations, managing commercial terms, scope, schedule, and pricing.

Drive cross-functional strategic alignment with Legal, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commercial, and Finance teams.

Serve as the primary commercial lead for critical RFP processes and discussions with counterparties.

Critically review, evaluate, and strategically address counterparty's commercial comments.

Develop, implement, and continuously refine robust procedures for the seamless handover of executed agreements.

Expertly draft, analyze, and negotiate all commercial terms and conditions within EPC contracts.

Provide expert contractual guidance and arbitration support to project execution teams.

Advanced Contracts Governance & Portfolio Management

Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive contract governance frameworks.

Establish and continuously optimize standardized processes and best practices for contract negotiation.

Serve as a key advisor and subject matter expert to internal departments on contractual terms.

Curate and manage a comprehensive, secure library of standardized contract templates.

Conduct in-depth analysis of commercial decisions across the project portfolio.

Strategic Process Optimization & Innovation

Lead and champion strategic initiatives aimed at improving the contract lifecycle management process.

Drive the evaluation, selection, and implementation of advanced contract management systems.

Serve as a thought leader in EPC contracting, integrating emerging industry trends.

Mentor and develop junior contract professionals.

Qualifications

A minimum of six years' experience in contract negotiation and management, preferably in the solar or construction industry.

Experience negotiating, reviewing, and editing complex engineering, construction, and procurement contracts.

Capable of managing numerous, challenging work assignments simultaneously under aggressive deadlines.

Experience with project or contract management software such as Procore, Malbek.
Requirements

Bachelorβs degree in business administration or related discipline.

Law degree is a plus (but not required).

Legal background in either a law firm or corporate setting is preferred.

Ability to conduct negotiations and find solutions in a constructive manner.

Salary Range
The full pay range for this role is $107,200 to $178,600 annually, with an estimated starting pay of $128,610 to $150,045 annually.
Working Conditions
100% of time is spent in the office environment, with frequent use of various Microsoft Office Suite.
