Role Description

We're presently seeking to bring a Senior Contract Negotiator onto our team. This opportunity puts you in direct contact with major commercial transactions inside a quick-moving, internationally-focused setting. You'll apply structure and clear thinking to complicated deal processes, all while working in tandem with stakeholders spanning different business areas. • Act as a central figure supporting commercial deal efforts across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
• Manage general commercial issues of varying difficulty that arise within this territory.
• Work in tight coordination with lawyers from the DACH legal team to contribute to reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and revising an extensive range of agreements, including:
  • IT software services contracts
  • Consulting agreements
  • Statements of work
  • NDAs
  • DPAs
  • Subcontractor and alliance arrangements
  • Other inbound commercial contracts
• Assume sole responsibility for legal support on particular accounts as circumstances require.
• Direct specific specialist tasks or standalone projects assigned to you, which may include:
  • Crafting contract templates and baseline positions
  • Strengthening contract management methods
  • Guiding internal staff toward consistent policy compliance
  • Assisting in policy creation
• Forge and nurture solid relationships with subject matter specialists spanning Business, IT Security, Compliance, Finance, and HR departments.
• Function as the go-between for internal business clients and other global Legal team members to support efficient deal closure.
• Liaise with both internal and outside experts, including external legal counsel, whenever supplementary expertise is needed.

Qualifications

• Well-rounded commercial background featuring sound and practical decision-making.
• Strong writing and drafting skills.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Comfort managing conflicting demands under pressure while working autonomously with pace and commitment.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a senior contract negotiator, or as a working lawyer with a background at either a leading law firm or in an in-house role at a well-regarded IT services organization.
• Hands-on experience negotiating software development services contracts and statements of work.
• Strong command of English, with German skills viewed as a considerable bonus.
