Role Description
Davies North America is looking for an experienced Senior Commercial Property Claims Adjuster. Reporting to the Commercial Property Claims Supervisor, this role is responsible for end-to-end management of Commercial Property Claims primarily for multi-insurer, quota share programs.

Understand the role of Third-Party Administration in claims management.

Background in both Excess & Surplus Lines (Lloyds) as well as Standard carrier programs.

Knowledge of current case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, etc. that apply to claims practices and issues within the territory of operation.

Determine, evaluate, investigate, negotiate and resolve large exposure property claims in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal standards, including but not limited to:

Verify coverage under the applicable Commercial Property insurance policy.

Coordinate with field adjusters and experts for inspections or further investigation.

Review supporting documentation submitted for the claims and properly note the details of the review within the file.

Analyze damage estimates and repair costs.

Identify potential issues such as fraud, duplicate claims, or policy exclusions.

Communicate with policyholders, adjusters, contractors, and other stakeholders regularly to ensure constant claim progression and keep all involved parties updated.

Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients, including Reservation of Rights and Coverage Position Letters.

Handle appeals or disputes related to claim decisions.

Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.

Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims.

Provide monetary authority and strategy to counsel to ensure clientโs money and claims are protected.

Present and explain claim overviews to business partners.

Participate in audits and quality control reviews.

Stay updated on industry trends, policy changes, and best practices.

Provide mentorship and technical support to junior and peer examiners as necessary.

Requirements

Bachelorโs Degree from a four-year college or university or at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Property claims investigation techniques and Settlement.

Moderate skills in Microsoft Suite โ especially excel and word.

Multi-State adjuster license preferred.
