Role Description

Shutts & Bowen's Orlando office is seeking a senior associate/partner to join their Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in:

• Public finance
• Municipal bond transactions
• Community Development District (CDD) matters

Experience representing:

• CDDs
• Local governments
• Developers
• Underwriters
• Financial institutions
• Other participants in public infrastructure financing

The successful applicant should have experience in:

• Serving as bond counsel or underwriters’ counsel in tax-exempt or taxable municipal bond financings
• Structuring and managing bond financing transactions
• Drafting and negotiating bond financing documents
• Advising clients on Florida public finance laws
• Tax-exempt financing and regulatory compliance
• Handling all aspects of bond transactions from due diligence through closing

Experience with:

• CDD formation and administration
• Land development
• Infrastructure finance
• Special districts
• Public-private partnership projects

Candidate must be a member of the Florida Bar and possess excellent:

• Drafting skills
• Negotiation skills
• Project management skills
• Analytical skills
• Communication skills

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in public finance and municipal bond transactions
• Member of the Florida Bar
