Role Description
Commvault’s Trust Team, which includes the Legal function, is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Global Employment Law team. As part of a trusted global legal team, this role goes beyond traditional legal advisory. You will act as a true business partner, working closely with Senior Counsel – Global Employment Law, HR and leadership to deliver practical, balanced, and employee-conscious solutions across jurisdictions. Provide in-house legal advice and support on a wide range of employment and labour law matters, including employee relations, benefits, policies, grievances, exits, and related strategic initiatives.

Identify and assess legal risks and opportunities in employment matters and provide clear, practical, and business-focused guidance.

Conduct research on employment laws and practices across multiple jurisdictions and prepare concise jurisdiction-specific summaries and recommendations.

Monitor and analyse developments in labour and employment laws globally and keep the team informed of key changes and their potential impact on Commvault.

Support and manage employment-related projects, policy updates, and compliance initiatives from start to finish.

Draft, review, and maintain employment agreements, templates, and policies to ensure legal compliance and consistency across jurisdictions.

Assist in handling employment disputes, claims, and coordination with external counsel where required.

Take ownership of assigned matters, including independently driving research, analysis, and delivery of advice.

Build and maintain strong relationships with HR, business stakeholders, and colleagues across regions to deliver consistent and trusted legal support.

Contribute to the overall development of the Global Employment Law function by sharing knowledge, driving efficiencies, and promoting best practices.
Qualifications

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a recognized university.

Around 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, with strong experience in employment and labour law (law firm and/or in-house).

Must be open to individual learning and development.

Strong research, drafting, and communication skills.

Ability to produce original legal analysis, with careful validation and cross-checking of sources.

Committed to acting as a trusted legal business partner.

Prior exposure to multi-jurisdictional or global employment law matters is strongly preferred.
