Role Description

We are currently seeking a Residential Real Estate Title Review Attorney , licensed in South Carolina. The Title Review Attorney is responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive title examinations.
• Resolving title issues.
• Preparing legal documents and opinions.
• Providing legal guidance throughout the residential real estate transaction process.

This role requires both legal analysis and active participation in transaction management, including collaboration with:

• Clients
• Lenders
• Title companies
• Processors
• Paralegals
• Closing attorneys

This position is fully remote; however, you may be asked to assist with in-office closings occasionally. The Title Review Attorney must possess a high degree of autonomy and the ability to work independently while meeting monthly goals.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in South Carolina (required); North Carolina or Georgia license is a plus.
• 2+ years of real estate law experience.
• Notary Public (or willingness to obtain before start date).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong sense of professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service mindset.
• Must be currently or previously approved by multiple title insurance companies.
• Proven ability to analyze, prioritize, and execute multiple projects and complex tasks under a deadline.
• Ability to analyze legal issues and provide effective, practical advice on routine legal matters.
• Experience meeting and exceeding set title review goals.

Requirements

• Handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and exceptional client service.
• Sign Final Title Opinions (FTOs) and other attorney certifications as required.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure files progress efficiently from title review through post-closing.
• Assist with office coverage and provide support for in-office attorneys when business needs require based on location.
• Fill in occasionally for in-office Attorneys depending on home location.
