Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to support a busy and growing law firm. The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on experience with probate administration, is highly organized, communicates professionally with clients, and can confidently manage multiple active matters with minimal supervision.

Prepare and draft probate petitions, pleadings, inventories, accountings, fiduciary documents, and related court filings.

Manage probate matters from estate opening through final distribution and closing.

Draft and revise estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related documents.

Prepare correspondence, engagement letters, and client communications.

Coordinate with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, financial institutions, title companies, and court personnel.

Monitor court deadlines and maintain accurate case calendars.

Organize and maintain electronic client files and legal records.

Assist attorneys with gathering estate assets, preparing inventories, and organizing supporting documentation.

Schedule client meetings and assist with attorney calendar management.

Maintain strict confidentiality while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.
Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Probate Paralegal or Legal Assistant.

Extensive experience handling probate administration from opening an estate through final closing.

Experience drafting probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, fiduciary documents, and related court filings.

Estate planning experience, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.

Strong understanding of probate court procedures and filing requirements.

Experience communicating directly with clients, courts, financial institutions, and fiduciaries.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational, proofreading, and time management skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple matters independently in a deadline-driven environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal practice management software such as Clio, MyCase or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in multiple state probate jurisdictions.

Familiarity with electronic court filing systems.

Experience with trust administration.

Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment.
