[Hiring] Paralegal @SBM Offshore

Role Description

Paralegal /Operations professional will support a litigation heavy legal function spanning SBM Operations and Real Estate. This role requires an individual who can operate with urgency, discretion, and strategic judgment, while maintaining tight operational control over litigation activity and outside counsel spending. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone with a strong paralegal foundation, experience within a corporate legal department, and exposure to law firm environments.

• Support active litigation across business lines, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and filings.
• Track and manage critical litigation dates (e.g., summary judgment motions, hearings, trial preparation).
• Maintain real time awareness of case status and proactively prepare matter summaries and timelines.
• Serve as day-to-day point of contact for outside counsel, ensuring responsiveness, alignment, and accountability.
• Manage and analyze outside counsel spend, including invoice review, cost tracking, and reporting over time.
• Run and maintain legal operations reports related to litigation activity, costs, and vendor performance.
• Partner closely with legal leadership to support matter strategy and execution.
• Other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience spanning paralegal and/or legal operations work.
• Background in a corporate legal department, with law firm training or experience.
• Strong litigation experience; comfortable supporting strategic motion practice.
• Highly organized, proactive, and immediately responsive.
• Trusted operator who can manage sensitive matters with discretion.
